Mario Ruiz Rejoins DKC

We are pleased to welcome Mario Ruiz back to DKC. Mario was with us before joining The Huffington Post, where he was head of communications and Arianna Huffington’s spokesperson. As a senior and early member of the HuffPost team, he played a key role in driving the site’s transformation from group blog to one of the world’s most successful digital-native media brands, as well as an influential politics and culture platform.

After five years with the site, Mario left to start his own firm, MRPR, where his clients have included HuffPost, Bloomberg, Zynga, Business Insider, NimbleTV, Complex Media, Vocativ, Venmo and NowThis News. In this capacity, he also has served as integrated communications consultant for noted VC firm Lerer Hippeau Ventures, and has counseled a number of leading voices in media and tech such as Henry Blodget, Ken Lerer, Eric Hippeau, David Shipley, Dan Porter and Judy McGrath. Mario has developed a strong reputation in digital, which is why he’ll be a great addition to our media and tech practices.

He also has a broad array of PR skills, honed through years of experience at agencies and in-house, including crisis management, thought leadership, internal comms and media relations. In addition to being a talented PR person, Mario is a good friend, and we’re all excited he’s rejoining the DKC family.
