Our Bay Area operation continues to expand with the addition of Cotton Delo, who had been the San Francisco bureau chief for Advertising Age. Cotton joins Michelle Cox, the head of our San Francisco office, as we continue to grow our roster of the area’s top brands, including Airbnb, Yahoo, LinkedIn, Sega, Wikia, McAfee, Mixbook and Disney Interactive.
Cotton’s experience as a reporter provides a wealth of knowledge and insight that will help our clients’ stories stand out. Shaping and articulating a point of view and bringing that perspective to life through compelling content delivered across communication platforms is essential to cultivating awareness and advocacy, and adding Cotton to our team further strengthens our leadership in this area.
Cotton spent nearly three years with Advertising Age, focused on the business of social media and the migration of marketing dollars to new platforms in the space. Prior, she held positions as a reporter and editor for media outlets including AOL City’s Best, Patch.com, New York Resident magazine and The Jersey Journal.
She’ll be working closely with Michelle, who brings 17 years of experience driving strategic marketing and communications initiatives for companies including Chegg, Metacafe and MovieBeam. She also held leadership positions with PR agencies Horn and Edelman.
As the center of economy-driving tech innovation and startup culture, the Bay Area has been an exciting area of growth for DKC. Our experience and relationships here benefit clients across the country, and our success in the region has carried over to a variety of industries including technology, gaming, education, media and entertainment, hospitality, consumer products and more.
