A study of the blogs on Babble’s Top 50 Mom Blogs list from March to May shed light on a media segment relevant to any modern PR practitioner: mom bloggers. The study looked at every post written by the bloggers in that period and the data was sorted into two categories: the total number of posts and the number of unique bloggers buzzing. Topping the list of brands of unique bloggers buzzing is DKC client Sauza Tequila, in part due to the successful ”Make it With a Fireman” campaign, which was supported by a creative and interactive PR platform entitled The Sauza Tequila Regional Rescue Tour, a cross country tour conceptualized and executed by DKC.
Other types of brands most frequently mentioned include online retailers, children’s clothing companies, and cleaning products, showing the diversity of topics mom bloggers are interested in. The study also shows that mom bloggers are most interested in products that will make a difference in their lives—and that cultivating relationships with bloggers goes far.
